This project involved the complete renovation / restoration of an existing period dwelling, the conversion of the attic space to the dwelling and the construction of a modern single storey extension to the rear of the dwelling house. This existing dwelling is located in an architectural conservation area.

The objectives were to modernise the existing dwelling and create additional spaces whilst retaining the character of the original dwelling house.

The spaces created by the new extension to the rear of the dwelling facilitate the transition from the period style of the ground floor reception rooms to the modern open plan living spaces to the rear of the new extension. The new extension features a butterfly roof clad in pre-patinated copper. The renovation of the house included high levels of insulation to the existing and new building, while 6m² of solar panels contribute to the domestic hot water needs.
